Yes. In the AWreportViewer just comment out the check of IsHTMLReport so regarless of the export format the control will always stream the content to the user.

The browser will pop up the download dialog though.

Not really, just a nice to have. Is there a way to render the report then in a new window. i.e. the report choice and format stays where it is and then on the click of "Run Report" a new window is launched with the report.

coul i do this be chaging the control rendering.

No, but this is not a limitation of the control. It is just that rendering reports via the RS Web service doesn't support interactive features and the HTML toolbar.

If these are paramount, you need to go for URL access and possibly Forms Authentication for Internet reporting.

Hello, Teo.

A quick question about awReportViewer. When on server side reporting can the normal toolbar be displayed as it is when url access is enabled in the original version that ms supplied.

I like all the advantages of using the proxy through soap. but would also like to have my cake and eat it as well ;-)
