Online Training FAQ

Course Structure

A: Please contact us to discuss this option for groups of five or more students.

A: As with classroom  training, you should reserve a full day for each day of the class. Each day includes about 4.5 hours of instructor-led online training. You should plan for additional time to work on the lab excercises.

A: Outside training hours. You need to schedule additional time outside the training session to complete the labs. There are usually 2-3 lab exercises per module requiring about 2-3 hours of practice for the entire content presented during the day.

A: Each module will be recorded so you could follow the demos step-by-step. If you still have an issue, you can post a question to the training forum or discuss the issue the next day.

A: Expanding the part-time class to a full-day class and have the instructor assists with the labs by sharing the student desktop is a possibility. Please contact us to discuss this option.

A: When the class starts, you will get the slides and lab manuals in PDF format and the source code. Whenever applicable, you will also receive a complimentary book for further study.

A: You are encouraged to ask questions during the meeting either directly or using the Live Meeting Q&A panel.

A: Each module will be recorded and available for viewing online for 30 days after the meeting.

A: As co-authors of the Microsoft BI training kits and Microsoft certified trainers, we can assure you that our classes meet and exceed the content covered in the Microsoft Official Curriculum. That said, the most important success factor to pass a certification exam is real-life experience. When preparing for the exam, at minimum you should do all class lab exercises and study the book that you will get when you attend the class.

A: Yes, as a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) we can teach Reporting Services and Analysis Services MOC online classes. Your organization is responsible for purchasing the student training materials. Please contact us to find how we can help you.

Course Delivery

A: Online classes are delivered via Microsoft Live Meeting.

A: A functional Internet broadband connection is the most important requirement. Before the meeting or when you sign up, install the Live Meeting Client which you can download from here or from the Join the Meeting page. You will also need to install the required software for the lab exercises as explained in the course details page. Please check the Live Meeting Learning Center for more information about the Live Meeting requirements and troubleshooting tips.

A: Two audio options will be provided: computer audio, also known as VoIP, and an US toll conference number. For VOIP, you will need a headset with a microphone. Using a company conference bridge is also an option for students from the same company.

Course Registration

A: Use the registration link on the training page.

A: In general, you should register at least two weeks before the class starts.

A: Check (please let us know if you need an invoice), PayPal direct payment, or credit card payment processed through PayPal. The course registration e-mail will provide the payment details.

A: Fees are fully refundable if the event is cancelled. Fees are fully refundable up to two-weeks prior to event date. Cancellation less than a week prior to event date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations without notice are responsible for the full event fee.

Course Licensing

A: Prologika’s online events are licensed for only a single student to view and participate on a single computer. You may not share or broadcast the event to other people. You may not record the event. If you have multiple students that you want to view the class at the same time, you may broadcast the class if you purchase a seat for each person attending the class.
